Life is unpredictable, so we strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
It provides peace of mind in case something unexpected happens and you are unable to attend the event.
With cancellation insurance, your ticket fee may be refunded in cases such as acute illness, injury, involuntary unemployment, pregnancy, etc.
The insurance is offered in cooperation with Tryg. Terms and conditions apply.
No, unfortunately registrations cannot be transferred to a later year.
We therefore recommend purchasing cancellation insurance at the time of registration so that you can be reimbursed if, for example, illness prevents you from participating.
Yes. A tow float is mandatory and must be brought by the swimmer.
This requirement helps us to:
visually identify 10K swimmers more easily
ensure that everyone carries their allocated GPS tracker safely
If you don't already have a tow float, you can purchase one at the merchandise tent in the event area.
There is no official maximum swim time, but there is what’s called a cut-off time.
The cut-off time is 4 hours and 15 minutes.
This means that if you haven’t completed the first 4 laps by then, you will not be allowed to start the 5th lap.
No problem. There are plenty of helpers along the course, and you can exit the water at any time.
You can also choose to withdraw each time you pass the finish area at 2, 4, 6, and 8 km.
You can find a map of the course HERE
The feeding zone is located approx. 1 km into the course — the location is shown on the map HERE
As a participant, please note the following:
Coloured beach flags will guide you to the correct spot:
It’s not required, but family and friends are very welcome to assist in the feeding zone. In fact, we really appreciate the extra help. However, please note the following:
IMPORTANT: Due to limited space on the quay, a maximum of 36 helpers can be part of the feeding team. If this limit is reached, we reserve the right to decline additional helpers — especially if you have registered more than one, or if all spots are already filled.
Children under 15 are not included in the limit, and are welcome to join.
The Krüger Relay is sponsored by Krüger A/S and is a relay race where a team of four people collectively covers the 2000-meter course around Christiansborg Palace, with each participant swimming 500 meters.
Teams can compete as corporate teams, family teams, club teams, or mixed teams. The team may consist of both men and women or be single-gender.
Click the Registration button on the homepage.
From there, you will be directed to Sportstiming, where you should select Krüger Relay from the available distances.
If you are not already registered as a user, enter your personal details and you’ll be assigned a password, which you can later change.

Friday afternoon and evening are especially popular, with a festive atmosphere including food, drinks (available for purchase), and live music at the event venue. Enjoy a great team-building experience in a social setting.
A team representative must check in at the registration tent no later than one hour before your scheduled start time.
Registration takes place at the event site near the old Arsenal Museum, across from Søren Kierkegaards Plads.
At check-in, you will receive:
An envelope with your team’s race number
Four swim caps in bright colours

A rubber wristband (the team baton)
A participant t-shirt (for early registrants)

All participants must write their race number clearly on their hands with a marker.
Yes – if you selected a t-shirt during registration and did so before stock runs out.
T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to avoid overproduction and waste.
All team members will also receive a bright swim cap, which must be worn during the swim.
You can view the full course map HERE.
Each swimmer covers approximately 500 metres.
Water conditions and currents may vary slightly depending on the location. The first and final legs may have slightly stronger currents.
The fourth swimmer (and only the fourth) on the team must wear the provided timing chip around their wrist.
Important: The chip must not be placed under a wetsuit, as this may result in your time not being registered!
Floating lane markers will be placed in the harbour to guide swimmers.
Each changeover point is marked with large banners and staffed by officials in red.
See the route map HERE for more detail.
The first swimmer must be at the start area 15 minutes before the race and will be guided to the pontoon.
The second, third, and fourth swimmers must make their way to their respective changeover points in good time before the race begins.
All points are signposted with banners and staffed by officials in red. You can also find them on the route map HERE.
When it's your turn to swim, enter the water near your designated changeover point and position yourself by the two red buoys marking the zone.
You will receive a rubber wristband from your teammate. This functions as the relay baton and must be passed on to the next swimmer.
The final swimmer must wear the wristband around their wrist at the finish line.
