60 extra spots in the 10K distance

After overwhelming interest in the 10K distance, we have the opportunity to add another heat, but you need to act quickly to secure a spot.

60 extra spots in the 10K distance

We have some great news. We have managed to make room for another 10K heat with 60 spots available.

We are incredibly pleased that so many of you want to swim 10 km in the Copenhagen canals, and therefore we are making an extraordinary effort to accommodate more of you at the 2025 event.

How is this possible?

We had initially announced that we would not offer more than the 120 spots we had planned. The reason was that we did not believe it was feasible in terms of safety, necessary equipment, and the number of volunteers in the refreshment zone.

Around 50 spots were sold during the presale, and the rest were snapped up in just 4.5 hours when the tickets went on sale to everyone. The overwhelming interest in this distance was far beyond our expectations.

Therefore, we consulted with our team, who helps us run the event, and together we determined that we can accommodate 60 additional 10K swimmers in a separate heat that will be held between the two existing heats.

These will be the very last spots we will put up for sale for the 10K distance at the 2025 event.

When will they go on sale?

Registration for the new 10K spots opens on Monday, November 11th at 10:00 AM (CET).

It will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to be ready if you wish to secure one of the spots.

The sign up will take place here.

What if I don’t make it?

If you’re not successful, we recommend keeping an eye on the comments on our Facebook page, Den Blå Avis (dba.dk) and our registration site, Sportstiming, in the weeks leading up to the event.

There are always people who have to attend a wedding, get injured, or haven’t trained enough – and therefore choose to switch to a shorter distance or sell their ticket to someone else.

We recommend using Sportstiming’s own system for reselling or buying others' spots.
