More people than ever are swimming the TrygFonden Copenhagen Swim
A record number of people jumped into Copenhagen's canals for Denmark's largest open-water event, which took place over two days.
We've heard you, and we're soon opening up 50 additional spots for the 10,000 m distance.

When we launched registration for TrygFonden Copenhagen Swim 2024, the 10,000 m distance sold out in just 5 days. The overwhelming interest prompted many of you to reach out, asking if we could open up extra spots.
We've discussed the safety and logistics of the distance – including additional baggage storage, more hands for distributing refreshments, etc.
After careful consideration, we've determined that we can handle a whole extra heat with 50 spots for the distance. The heat will commence 5 minutes after the original heat sets off.
We'll open up these 50 additional spots on Wednesday, December 20th, at 10:00 AM CET.
Registration will take place here.
If you initially signed up for the 2,000 m but would prefer to swim the 10,000 m, it's fortunately easy to change your distance.
Simply log in to your profile on Sportstiming, where you can switch your heat to the new 10,000 m heat named "long-distance heat 2." Then, you just pay the price difference.

This weekend, more than 4,500 swimmers will dive into the canal – and on Friday evening, we’ll light up Copenhagen with glowing swim buoys at twilight.
